I brought in Bentley Monday night to be ready for his annual vet checkup and thought I would give him a chance to taste test my science. It was an instant fail. Well, he took the first “treat” out of blind faith in my cooking abilities, and did his best to choke it down, but declined a second.
Ok, so the ratio of elytes in the treat likely needs to go down because its too salty. Lee confirmed this when I made him eat a tiny piece (no bigger than a fingernail clipping) and he screamed, ran to the kitchen and spat what he could into the sink.
So taste test #1 failed, but Bentley did eat pine needles, so perhaps I have a new taste sensation which may better block the salt?
