Come visit us at Summer Solstice tomorrow!

Have you seen the weather for the next 2 days?!?

SUMMER SOLSTICE weather forecast

Wow… seriously wow!  If you are planning on sitting inside and watching TV, seriously, get off your butt and get outside.  Right now!

You can venture up to the Dufferin Forest (5 min north of Mansfield on Airport Road), follow the event signs and come watch the OCTRA Triple Crown.  What is it?  Well I am glad you asked!

This is the first time it has ever been run.  Ride Manager, Sue Downing, has put together a creative and fun event to help bring all users of the trail together.  It is a 3 person relay (4 if you count the horse!) including a bicyclist, a runner, and a horse and rider.  Each will tag the other off and complete 6 or so miles on the trail.

But wait! There is a catch!  The runner and the cyclist MUST do the cooling of the horse… rider can only act as a stick in the ground, holding the horse but directing the rest of the team.  What a great way to learn about horses and endurance riding!

Ashley and Solstice will be participating with a team each, so make sure you wave hi.  Sarah will be manning the ESRR table, so come by and say hi to her too.  There will be a few other vendors and a used tack swap as well.

BUT WAIT!  THERE IS MORE!

If you are participating in the triple crown, ESRR is offering prizes to a team wearing ESRR gear on all 3 team members (random draw if multiple teams participate).

Just a little something to say thank you for supporting us!  Beg, borrow or buy a shirt tomorrow to show your team spirit.

And to my runner and cyclist friends… we get rave reviews from other athletes about our shirts.  They are cool, comfortable and sporty.  Add to that the great memories that will flood back every time you wear it, and no doubt it will be one of your new favourites!

Two other teams were wearing my Eat Sleep Ride Repeat shirts in hot pink... good thing we didnt get our riders confused! This is Hailey and Jenna doing the 7 mile RNT with Chester. Cute arent they? Photo by Wendy Webb.
